Beer Me GVL is the brainchild of Bryan H., a man with a passion for craft beer and a life story as interesting as the brews he discovers. Here are a few fun facts about the man behind the pint:
- Born and raised in Kansas — but not your typical farm boy.
- U.S. Navy veteran (1999-2005) — trained to serve and possibly a bit dangerous.
- New adventures – After spending nearly 20 years in Florida working in communications, Bryan decided it was time for a change of scenery. He left the sunshine state behind and made South Carolina home, ready for new adventures and new brews.
- Family guy — including four furry kitty bosses who make sure he stays on his toes.
- Prefers cats over dogs — Sorry, not sorry. Bryan is convinced that cats are like craft beer: independent, complex, and way less likely to drool on you.
What got Bryan into craft beer?
In 2013, Bryan was a die-hard fan of domestic beers, mostly PBR. That all changed when a close friend introduced him to the world of craft beer, insisting there was a whole new level of flavor to discover. Before long, Bryan was hooked, diving into the rich world of IPAs.
Today, Bryan’s taste in beer is as diverse as his travels, but he’s still a proud fan of west coast IPAs. #westyisbestie
